Xmas Spending
Xmas is around the corner and people are more concerned with spending money than spending time with friends and family. It is important to have a budget for gifts, trips, and xmas parties. Andy and I have a household budget to keep track of every penny we spend- not just during Christmas but throughout the whole year. We decide yearly what our annual budget on each item such as groceries, education, gifts, trips, mortgage etc. will be and we keep track of it. Then because we tracked it we can easily create our next years budget. We run our lives just like a company – having a financial statement, and budget. We are happy to share our tracker with you, our gift to you! It is a very simple, and very easy excel spread sheet! Feel free to download and use it.
Black Friday Sale
Last month I was in Vancouver for few days because I had been invited to be a Guest Speaker at an event called Synergy. My topic was the Edmonton Real Estate Market. Right now the market is more in favor of Buyers, which I called Black Friday on Sale for Real Estate! With Christmas approaching bringing cold weather and parties, many people are in their holiday mood and houses still being offered for sale at great prices. There are many opportunities for smart investors! I showcased many of these in Vancouver! Ballet Girl
Our little Fionna performed in the Elite Dance Recital last weekend. She is one of the youngest, but she is truly showing how much she loves ballet and is full of confidence. She started the ballet class before she was 3 years old, and her ballet teacher encouraged her to move to the next level class (with age 4-6 years olds). Her teacher Michelle truly inspires her, and believes in her and already she is quite the leader. If we all look for teachers like Michelle and we do what she does to inspire and believe in our children, and challenge our children to do better, and be better, I’m sure we will have less problem children!
