St. Albert
With Just over 63,000 residents, St Albert is the second largest city in the Edmonton Capital Region. Originally founded in 1861 by Father Albert Lacombe, St Albert was named after his name saint, Saint Albert of Louvain but for many years people mistakenly though it was named after Saint Albert the Great. Today locals know downtown St Albert as a focal point for arts, culture and community events with St Albert Place and the Arden theatre and the largest outdoor farmers market in Western Canada.
